This Penang War Museum situated on Bukit Batu Maung was erected on the original defence complex built by British before World War II in 1930's by the British to protect the island from enemies. Situated on 20 acres of land. It became a defence fort during the war. Today, it is a sprawling historical complex exhibiting many war paraphernalias, and shows historical timelines of events.
The war Museum is about education, relic admiration and experiencing events of war. This war museum is a dedication to those who have served and died, defending the country. Remember to dress in light, cool clothing; wear comfy shoes; put on a dull coloured hat and be armed with a pair of binoculars, insect repellent, notebook and pen.

For Malaysian and foreigners with working permit is RM15/adult and RM7.50/child.
Foreigners visitors are charged RM30/adult and RM15/child.
Additional charges are applicable ranges from RM5 to RM15 for optional tours such as tunnel tour, observation tower, tunnel view and canon firing bay.
Note: Child is defined as children between 5 to 12 years old.
